How it works

Usually, when the unit is started, the fan begins to pull moisture-laden air across the dehumidifying coil. The coils condense or draw moisture from the air and air flows through the side louvers into the room as dry, warm air. Moisture was removed from the air and collected in a bucket in front of the dehumidifier. The slide-out bottom also provides easy filter access.

These products work. It keeps the humidity level in my basement where I want it. However, there is one notable issue. There is about a 20% difference between what you set the unit at and what the humidity level actually settles at in the basement.

I needed to use a separate hygrometer to determine the actual humidity in the room and set the dehumidifier accordingly. Once I did the math everything worked well.
